Obzor village (Bourgas region, Bulgaria) is located right between the cities of Varna and Bourgas (around 65 km) at the coast of the Black Sea - at the point where the Stara Planina Mountains reach the sea. Coniferous forests and mineral springs to be found next to the village; the sandy beaches stretch for several kilometers. The population is around 2 thousand people; official status - urban community. The very name of the town suggests picturesque heavenly corner to have one’s vacation at.

The settlement is specially designated for vacation; in contemporary history its traditions of welcoming vacationers start from 1926 (Obzor occupies the site of an ancient city, the fortress of Heliopolis). Within a radius of more than 50 km there is not a single industrial facility, while the settlement itself has treatment plants.
Obzor is a compact picturesque settlement stretching for around 2 km with the buildings of the Black Sea architecture (naturally, with all the conveniences available). Numerous cosy restaurants and cafes seduce tourists to try delicious national Bulgarian meals and the world-known Bulgarian wine. And what is important, the prices are 2 to 3 times lower than those at the large resorts.
Over the last years Obzor changed significantly: at the beach there were opened numerous cafes, bars; recently there was completed a wonderful large entertainment centre Zamok located right at the beach; the vacationers can enjoy various water rides, umbrellas, sun loungers; there were built numerous new middle-sized hotels.
The cleanest air, beaches, mountains, forests, and healthy food create the most favorable conditions for family vacations and recreation from May till October. Amiability of the local residents and healthy psychic atmosphere favor releasing “urban” stresses. Besides, from March till early June and from September till early November (and in winter as well!) Obzor can offer excellent conditions for highly efficient creative work.
